We love how flexible the wagering is when playing Moonlight Mystery. The slot enables you to choose between 1 and 15 paylines, between 1 and 5 coins per line and to set each coin value to between $0.01 and $1.00. This means you can effectively wager between $0.01 and $75.00 per spin while playing. In between the upper and lower wager values you have a nearly infinite number of wager options to choose from, which means you can bet whatever you like with this game. When so many other slots give you a small number of bet values to choose from this game is a good deal.

Win Up to 2,000 Coins

We were not impressed by the maximum prize win of just 2,000 coins per payline. This game doesn't give out the type of top prizes that many other slots are providing and instead, you'll have to rely on getting many smaller wins rather than getting one huge one. If this doesn't bother you we did get many small wins while playing and could see how the slot could lead to some seriously good winning streaks for lucky gamblers.

Not a Good Value Overall

Even though the game is fun to play, we cannot call Moonlight Mystery a good value because it gives 94% of the money it takes in from players back as prize money. That's lower than the 96% return we look for when evaluating slots, which means other games give back more money and you could get better prizes from another slot on average. If you don't care about the average value of a slot then this may not matter to you.

The game has a mystery theme, and it's only natural that you should perform the duties of a detective when playing through its most important bonus round. We highly recommend the game for its flexible wagering and fun mystery bonus, but it offers too low of a payout value and that may kill the game for some gamblers. Still, Moonlight Mystery has real promise and we still find ourselves enjoying this slot occasionally.
